John Andrew was born and raised in the Willamette Valley.  Now living in McMinnville with his wife and three daughters, John feels that "simple pleasures" are the best and enjoys nothing more than a hike with the kids or a day at the park. His hobbies are typically family-oriented but he also enjoys mountain biking, surfing and weight training.

John believes in healthy living as a lifestyle. This commitment includes a healthy diet, exercise and a balance between work and play with time with the family being a high priority. John even competed as an all-natural bodybuilder (no steriods) and won first place in the Oregon Iron Man Naturally competition for two consecutive years before starting his family.

John received his undergraduate Pre-Physical Therapy Degree fromNorthwest Nazarene University located in Nampa, Idaho in 1995 and then completed his Master's Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences in 1998. In December of 2007, John received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree (DPT) from the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences.

John's academic emphasis on orthopedic injuries has given him an expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation of the neck, back, shoulder, knee and ankle/foot injuries. In addition to his advanced degrees, John has over ten years of full-time clinical orthopedic experience.

In 2011 John completed his training with the McKenzie Spine Institute, becoming the first Certified McKenzie Spine practitioner in McMinnville. Although John has a been using the McKenzie technique since 1999, he has now earned the "Cert. MDT" credential. As a certified practitioner in mechanical diagnosis and therapy, John is perfectly trained to help find a solution to musculoskeletal problems, especially as they relate to the spine.

Just as important of any of his credentials, John is at heart a caring person and enjoys helping patients feel better in any way that he can. He is happiest when he is serving others and encouraging patients towards reaching their goals. John's bright outlook and cheerful attitude is felt throughout Andrew Physical Therapy.
